Two and a half years ago, I had no interest in joining a breakfast networking group. I was probably just like you, checking around seeing which professional development business group was best for me. When it comes to networking in the morning I’d checked out to a couple of different groups, but nothing really stuck. In fact, some were a waste of time. Then I was invited to an open house meeting hosted by the Brant Business Builders. I soon realized that it was more than just a networking group; it was a community of entrepreneurs who thought like me and wanted to give back like me. They had created a family of business people that was just like me.
The moment I joined the group, great things started to happen. I was building new connections with business people and entrepreneurs in the area, I was given solid leads (which generally you get from networking groups), but these were great leads. I was handed referrals for the work I do, and I quickly built my testimonials.
I should tell you that I’d spent the last 20 years convincing myself that I didn’t need to be part of a breakfast networking group, and now I am here to tell you why you need to join this group.
Aside from all the business strategies, there were after-hour meetings and events that we would go to and attend as a group. Some of the gatherings were business-related, while others were social events. They even host fundraisers to raise money for local charities. There was a golf tournament that ran for five years, and we are in our second year of Brantford Bites, a local food, and drink show.

Like a lot of other networking groups, we do have protected seats. If you’re in an industry that is already represented in our group, unfortunately, you would not be able to join.
